Spring Brush Chipping
BRUSH CHIPPING PROGRAM
The City will begin its brush chipping program in March. The pick-up dates, areas and rules for the brush chipping program are as follows:
DATES AREAS
March 2, 2026 - March 6, 2026 Northwest section of the city. West of Key Avenue and north of First Street.
March 9, 2026 - March 13, 2026 Southwest section of the city. West of Key Avenue and south of First Street.
March 16, 2026 - March 20, 2026 Southeast section of the city. East of Key Avenue and south of First Street.
March 23, 2026 - March 27, 2026 Northeast section of the city. East of Key Avenue and north of First Street.
NOTE: City sponsored brush chipping will occur only during designated weeks and designated areas.
The following are the guidelines for the City's Brush Chipping Program.
There will be no charge for Brush drop off at the Collection Station for the Month of March
- The brush can be no longer than four feet in length;
- No lumber or trash will be picked up; and
- The bundle must be out by the curb, no alley pick up.

New Regulations for Commercial Development
Effective immediately, the City of Lampasas requires all new commercial development projects to submit a complete plan set and participate in a pre-development meeting with City staff.
Plan sets must be submitted to the City no later than the 15th day of each month to be considered for a pre-development meeting, which will be held on the first Thursday of the following month at 2:00 p.m.
The applicant or an authorized representative must be present at the meeting.

City of Lampasas Tree Trimming
Tree Trimming Program
The City of Lampasas has contracted with McCoy Tree Surgery to implement a Tree Trimming Program around City Electric Lines.
This program will begin in January 2026 and will be completed by March. The focus will be on the North West section of the City, as described below;
The First area to be trimmed will be W North Ave. to W Ave. E, from N. Key Ave. to Nix Rd.
The Second area to be trimmed will be W North Ave. to Nix, from Porter St. to N. Willis.
Homeowners will be notified by door tags, in advance, of the trees being trimmed in their area or on their property. If you have questions, please call City Hall at 512-556-8315.
